I'll be going to a Proms Concert at Royal Albert Hall and would like to know of a good place to eat before the concert. I'm by myself so I don't want anything too stuffy. A good pub would even be fine. Just some place with good food and hopefully something out of the ordinary.

There are several bars/cafes inside Royal Albert Hall you could eat at, they open two hours before concerts. Go to royalalberthall.com and see if any of those appeal to you.

The Queens Arms pub on Queens Gate mews. Gastropub pub, comfortable, easy walk to Royal Albert Hall.

Slightly strange suggestion maybe... There is a major Whole Foods not so far from the RAH, and they have quite a nice food court on the top floor where you could possibly try a number of different cuisines. It's mid to posh food rather than mid to low, but very informal.

Agree w/Mike-Whole Foods on High Street Kensington is my go-to for pre-Albert Hall event eating. The second and third floor have great food options for whatever strikes your fancy. Enjoy the Proms!
