I hope can someone please assist me. Two of us arrive in Southampton from RCCL on May 10th. We want to reserve a ride to our rental car office. Looking at Uber, the price was £6 to ride the two miles to Enterprise. I had forgotten to put the May 10th date in, but when I did, the rate became £25.
I looked a reserving a taxis. For the two mile trip for two w one suitcase each …on May 10th… is £18.
Do these companies engorge the prices when knowing a ship is in? It seems that way. Can anyone tell me another way to get to Enterprise which is 2 miles from City Cruise Terminal? I’m sure waiting in line for a taxi at the cruise terminal, will be quadrupled in price on the day of, as well.
Any suggestions? We don’t want to walk, but we hate being taken advantage of just because we’re coming off of a cruise. Thank you so much!
