I'vwe always used public transport on my visits (the Isle of Man has a very good bus service, along with the steam railway and Manx Electric Tramway for a bit of fun...)
There are two local companies on the island
• Athol Car Hire based in Balasalla
• 4Hire based in Douglas
The national car hire company Avis have a base in Castletown
