Hi … once again! We’re to pick up our rental car somewhere West of London on our way to Mickleton. So far I’m leaning towards taking the train from Paddington (with our luggage) to Reading, UK. We have to use AutoEurope as I get a big discount with them. We would have to take a taxi to the car outlet which is ok. I originally wanted to pick it up in Windsor but they don’t have an outlet there; also not Heathrow as it's more money to pick it up at that location! I assume the further the train travels the more money it costs...the reason I'm trying to save money is with the Canadian Dollar being very low, 100GBP equals $205 Canadian.
We will eventually be dropping the car off at Edinburgh Airport.
Any suggestions?
Thank you all for you informative responses!
Jean
Oxford is probably a better compromise and if you book advance rail tickets these start from £6.
