Doing driving tour of Great Britain in September this year. Would like to rent car outside the city for easier driving and to avoid the added airport rental fee.
We are headed to Windsor and Stonegate first day, Mappington Gardens the next.. staying in Leigh the first night. then around Great Britain for the next 11 days, leaving York and headed to London area to return car. The final leg of our trip is 4 nights in London, no car. Once we turn car back in, will need to get to St. Johns Hill area where we are staying.
Is there a tube or train that is accessible from Terminal 5 to a convenient rental company outside the airport (to avoid added airport rental fee) and for easier exit out of the city? And for an added twist.. by any chance is there one that would also leave us closer to our London flat once we return our car?
Asking a lot I know... Appreciate any advice or insight.
