We will be in Bath for three nights in October and thinking if the weather is agreeable, we might want to visit a couple of the nearby Cotswold villages, like Castle Combe for the day. My search is not pulling up a rental car place in Bath. Has anyone done this? We know about Mad Max and at this time, do not want a tour. Thanks!

There are plenty of places to hire a car in Bath so not sure why you’re having a problem there. Google maps will show all the main ones but usually you get a better price of you go through an aggregator. Last time I rented a car in this country the best price I could find was on Expedia.

Thanks for your replies. I was using AutoEurope so not sure why no locations came back. I will check the individual car rental sites.

In August, we rented a car from Enterprise on Lower Bristol Rd, just 6 or 7 minutes from the city. They can pick you up as well. I didn't find this out until after I had already hired an Uber. The staff were great and I would recommend them. The only tricky part was parking in Bath, but our bnb host was a big help. We ultimately dropped the car at the Edinburgh airport and my overall experience with Enterprise was quite positive.
