Recommendations for eating in London?

Hi! I'm staying at the Holiday Inn Kensington. But I'll eat anywhere not too far. Can anybody recommend places to eat that are great?? I'm flying solo. It doesn't have to be budget necessarily. I love all food except sea food. And also any fantastic pub and brewery?
Thank you!!!!

Might I suggest Google and type in "restaurants Kensington London." Or ask at the desk when you check in. Restaurants and pubs are numerous in London. Explore.

Thousands to choose from, use Trip Advisor and see what's close.

Definitely recommend Brick Lane at the weekend for the street food stalls and a chance to try cuisine from all over the world, with free samples from most places. Have fun.

Thanks for recommending Brick Lane!!! I will try that.

I obviously used Google and several other books. It's much more helpful and reliable on a site like this to receive hands on tips of people that have traveled and had fantastic food there. The suggestions I have received on this forum for other travels have been invaluable. As they are to thousands of others that can and have easily done internet searches and read multiple books. I will be going all around London and it need not be where I'm lodging.

Do be aware that Brick Lane is completely the opposite end of London from Kensington.

Disclaimer - I've never spent much time (anytime, maybe) in the neighborhood you're staying in, so my favorites are likely not anywhere near your hotel.

That said, London is full of really great places to eat (and some not so great, of course) and perhaps others will be along to steer you toward restaurants in your neighborhood.

Some of my favorites that we return to are:
The Grazing Goat
The Victoria
Wagamama (yeah don't judge me :-D)

During our many trips to London we have always enjoyed the meat pies at the Blackbird Pub, 209 Earls Court Road (also try the Fullers Honey Dew beer), and Bistro Benito, 166 Earls Court Road, for wonderful Italian dishes. If you get to the Charing Cross area, stop at Gordon's Wine Bar, 47 Villiars St., for some excellent port.

Nowt wrong with Wagamama! If you like them have you tried Ping Pong. Same concept but Dim Sum

A few too many ping pong balls in the window for my liking - Old Street.
