My adult son and I will be in London in early Sept. We want to take a one day tour to Stonehenge (inner circle), Windsor and maybe Bath. Any tour company recommendations? Anything we should be aware of when booking or planning the day?
Thank you!

We have not taken tour to Bath or Stonehenge as we had a car and did them on our own. However we did go to Windsor on our own as it is so easy to do by yourself from London via the train. I think a tour would be a waste of money as the train takes you right from London and lets you right off almost at the entrance to the castle. I think one time we had to change at S!ough but again it was super easy.

You always have to change at Slough, but yes, super easy.
Do not try and combine Windsor, Stonehenge and maybe Bath in a day trip from London. It would be a very long day with a lot of time sitting in a coach. Check out how long you actually get in these places (and factor in time 'wasted' in queuing for toilets, lunch etc. It can take up a lot of the time allocated for a visit....)
Also note the inner circle tours at Stonehenge are either first thing in the morning before it opens or last thing just as it closes. If coming from London, that would make either a very early start or a very late return.
As already mentioned Windsor is easily done by yourself from London. Stonehenge is too - train to Salisbury and then catch the Stonehenge bus from the station. The last bus back is timed to leave when Stonehenge closes.
Last time we visited England we did Stonehenge and Cardiff Castle in Wales on the same day. That was a good trip. Depending on your travel route you could also go through Bath.
We did this one and we’re very pleased with it: https://www.grayline.com/tours/stonehenge-and-bath-tour/
Windsor is best done separately. Rick’s advice about doing it the day you land or at the end of your trip is pretty good as it’s near Heathrow.
We did this tour https://www.premiumtours.co.uk/en/stonehenge-private-viewing-tour and enjoyed it. It was a very full day and I wished we’d had more time at Bath so I can’t imagine adding Windsor in. I agree with others that Windsor is an easy trip on your own from London and worth it if you have the time. We did the sunset tour of Stonehenge so it was a fairly late return to London but we loved seeing the stones at (close to) sunset.
We did the inner circle tour at Stonehenge last September and it was well worth it, however that tour is only offered in early morning and late afternoon/evening and I don't recall ever seeing it included on a tour company's itinerary-if it is I would think it would be very rushed. It it is a must-see to you, you may want to consider a separate trip just to Salisbury so you can work it in.
I can't help with a tour company recommendation as we had a car for Salisbury and on another trip we took the train for a two night stay in Bath.
I can't see trying to do all three places in a single day, even if it is 12 hours long. It wouldn't be hard to do Windsor Castle and Stonehenge in one day.
We used an entire day doing Bath and glad we did.
My vote is with those who are encouraging you NOT to try and do all three in one day. I know the tours "do" it but you are really shortchanging all three locations. I'm a detail person and both Stonehenge and Windsor Castle take me at least a half a day each. Bath? Well, I've stayed there for 3-4 nights at a time and have still not seen everything I wanted to see.
Frankly a tour visiting Windsor, Stonehenge and Bath in a day should be renamed a tour of English motorways and highways as that is primarily what you will see.
A lot of people say don't do it, but if you have limited time, and this is your only chance to see these places, it's better than not seeing them.
When my husband and I were on our honeymoon in 2004, we did this very tour and enjoyed it. Would we have enjoyed doing each place on it's own more? Most probably! But we weren't planning on doing any day trips, and saw a brochure for this tour in the hotel a few days before we were set to leave, and decided to go ahead and do it.
Like others, I've never seen the inner circle be included in this type of tour.
Have fun!
