I have often eaten to excess on Sundays at the Hereford Arms, just south of the Gloucester Road tube station, or a half-mile walk from the Victoria and Albert. Hearty is the word for it. Get a reservation or go later in the afternoon, but like most pubs, they may be eaten out of some items as the afternoon lolls along. https://www.herefordarms.co.uk/
