Can anyone recommend companies for airport transportation from Heathrow Airport to our hotel in St Albans. We know we can take the tube and train but would like to treat ourselves to more convenient transport after a long flight. We will arrive in the middle of the day so do not want to trouble our relatives for transport. I have searched the web and come across sites like A1 transport or other private transport for around $90 for 2 people. Just want to see if there are companies we should stay away from or any that locals would recommend. Thank you.

Bus #724 runs direct every hour, taking 1 hour 49 minutes so about half an hour slower than the tube train option via central London.
Just turn up and pay the driver, no advance booking.
