Recommendation for flat rental

Hi, We will be in London this June. There will be four of us and We are thinking of possibly staying in an apartment for four days. We like the feel of 'home ' instead of a hotel. On our last visit a few years ago, We stayed in a hotel in Kensington . We took the Hop on & off bus and really didn't venture out. I looked at airbnb and am overwhelmed with the different choices and the zones. I wonder if any one has experience with a short apartment rental. Location is important in terms of transportation and vicinity to attraction. There are 4 of us but we ended up splitting in two's sometimes as our interest are different . This way we won't worry about each others whereabouts. Thanks so much!

We had an apartment in South Kensington through Home from Home, they were easy to deal with and responded well to a problem. Also try the usual suspects, homeaway.com and vrbo.com (owned by the same company). To narrow the choices, filter by size, price, and neighborhood. South Kensington is well located and (for us) affordable. Notting Hill or Marylebone would be good alternatives if I were doing this again, maybe Chelsea too. Look for a location within 2-3 blocks of a tube stop within the orbit of the Circle Line (not necessarily on that line). The tube will get you anywhere quickly and easily. Hope that helps.
