Railpass and Travelcard question

OK, I am finally getting a small sliver of understanding of this traveling around London thing. One last question: I plan to buy the 7-day paper National Rail travel pass in order to get the 2-4-1 deals. Is there any point to adding a Friends and Family rail pass to the mix? (just me and my 13 year old traveling)
Thank you all.

Will you be making over £100 of journeys on which you can use your Friends and Family railcard? You'll need to, to make back the £30 cost of the card at 1/3 off for your trips and 60% the child fares.

Not on the Travelcard, but on normal train tickets the 13 year old travels at Child fare which is half the adult fare.

You'll have to do the maths and see which way works for you individual plans.

If using a 7 Day Travelcard from a National Rail booking office remember to each have recent passport sized and type photos for the mandatory photocards which accompany 7 day Travelcards from National Rail.

Remember that you can't use a railcard - like the Family and Friends - in conjunction with Season Tickets > like 7 Day Travelcards which are already substantially discounted.
