rail strike and alternative transport options

I read there is a rail strike planned for weekends between Aug 31 and Nov 10. It sounds as though this does not mean all trains will stop running on those dates. For anyone with past experience with UK rail strikes, please share any information about which trains, how many, etc., might be stopped on those dates. How far ahead do these details have to be announced?

I'm also looking for any information about alternative options for transportation from Norwich to Ipswich on a Saturday, and round trip options from Ipswich to Colchester on a Sunday. Are there any local bus routes that might work?

Thanks in advance for your help.

The strike is ONLY on LNER.

These routes are operated by Greater Anglia Trains so are unaffected.

Out of interest and for sheer fun I have looked up the bus on Saturday Norwich to Ipswich. The best service takes nearly 4 hours with changes at Halesworth and Saxmundham.

Ipswich to Colchester day return on a Sunday is by National Express, 50 minutes each way.

British news thinks the strikes are almost wrapped up. The wage settlements I
rear seem hardly worth the coupel of year of fuss.

Thank you! The information is good news, and much appreciated.
