Rabbies Tour Buses UK

Hi,

I have a question specifically about Rabbies tour buses. I have a back issue (courtesy of work years ago, as well as aging, and despite my exercising and not being overweigt) and am wondering whether Rabbies buses have harder-type seats or the softer, i.e. 'sink into the seat' material. We are thinking of taking a trip with them that would last a few days and, given the nature of my back issues, sitting for several hours a day in a soft seat that doesn't offer enough support would be a deal breaker.

Thank You

George, I took two tours with Rabbies (1 one day and 1 four day) and both of the vehicles were more like 16-20 seat mini buses and very comfortable. Because I sometimes don’t recall such things, I was looking back on my photos from that trip. I took only one photo and one video of the inside of the mini-bus and it appears like I was sitting fairly straight up and not sinking down. You might try and contact Rabbies and ask.

Edited to add that my tours were in Scotland

I haven't had to deal with this challenge, but I did wonder if they have "seat inserts" you could bring with you that would provide more structure and support for you as you travel. I see several listed online, but don't really know how these would work with your particular needs. It might be easier for you to adapt a seat then determine in advance with confidence what types of seats each transport will have.

I too have a bad back and the last Rabbie tour we took I thought the seats were very uncomfortable with super straight back. It was a two hour ride and that was hard towards the end. The first tour it was a slightly larger bus and was much more comfortable.Could be that I was on the side of the bus with single seats?? Maybe the double seats are more comfortable? Don't know how you would find out ahead of time though. Good luck.

We are looking at the Rabbies tour of Devon and Cornwall and it hits all the places we want to see and more.

I have a bad back, but seats don't seem to be an issue. I prefer a smaller tour group than one with 35 persons on a large bus.
