Quirky London museums...

So, I get emails from Heathrow Connect and in my current email was a link to Quirky London Museums - maybe you've been to London multiple times and want something different to do...

I think I could be very fascinated by the Museum of Brands and may actually look that one up next time we travel to London. Also included in the list are Benjamin Franklin House, Ragged School Museum, Magic Circle Museum and the Grant Museum (mounted animals and animal skeletons including some rare/extinct animals), looks both fascinating and creepy - like something a preteen/teenage boy would enjoy!

I went to the Museum of Brands in its former claustrophobic location - the new one looks somewhat brighter and airy, although the centrepiece remains the time tunnel . Although many of the brands featured are British there are plenty of international ones too. As this is in many ways remains a personal collection, and is still at heart displays of packaging behind glass which doesn't appeal to everyone.

The Old Operating Theater can be considered quirky and is worth a look. It is located near the Borough Market and you used a spiral staircase (not too many steps) to visit it in an attic. There is a small fee.
