Quiet, lovely place in London to stay for a week to write ?

I have lived in London twice, and have been a tourist there a few times. This time, I will be in Europe for work and want to take a week in London, but not to sightsee, rather to write. Can anyone recommend a section of London or even a little B&B or small hotel in quiet part of the city, with some park nearby? I will be there in mid-May 2023. Thanks!

We stayed in Chelsea in an apartment we rented from London Perfect. This area sounds like what you describe.

Richmond

Stayed at and enjoyed the Premiere Inn on Lower Mortlake.

Easy 30 minute stroll into the massive Richmond Park.

20-25 minute walk to the Richmond Quadrant.

15 minutes to Kew Gardens.

A place that might be more conducive for writing than a chain hotel is Temple Lodge in Hammersmith 1 - direct Tube from LHR (click on blue 1 for link). It calls itself a club, but membership is only £2 for a year and includes many discounts.

Jumping into this topic. @cgichard Can anyone rent a room at Temple Lodge? I am looking at options for a near-future trip to London.

I'd have thought that a beautiful house in Hampstead or Belsize Park with a garden and a view over London would be a perfect atmosphere for writing.

Don't know of such a property though.....

Considering mid-May 2023 is only a few weeks away I think your options will be limited. Do you have specific dates?

Thank you, all, for your suggestions. It looks as though many of your favorite spots are, in fact booked- London is a busy place In May- but I think I have landed on a solution. Very touched to receive so many replies. All the best with your current and future travels!

Glad you've found somewhere @geniest777

@lewisbird524 Yes, I think anyone can stay at Temple Lodge. I haven't yet, but it gets good reviews on Trip Adviser.
