Question About Travelling With a Medical Alert System

I'm going to England this summer for my brother's wedding and I'm taking my mother with me. We're going to be staying for 3 weeks. She currently wears a medical alert pendent because she has fallen on occasion. The question I have is, does anyone know of any American medical alert systems that also work in the U.K. (if so I'll switch her over). Alternatively, does anyone know of any medical alert devices in the U.K. they would recommend?

In the U.S. I found a few sites that compare medical alert systems (https://www.seniorsafetyreviews.com/comparisons/medical-alert-systems-comparison/) to help see what's out there, but none addressed this topic. I don't know where to look in the U.K., i think they call them personal alarms. Anyone have any idea of cost, and whether I can just get it for the month? I know I can in the U.S., not sure about the U.K.

Well I was intrigued by this question, and this organization says its medic alert bracelets work worldwide and they list international affiliates on their FAQ page.

A friend of mine got her mom an apple watch precisely so that her mom could easily call if she needed help. That’s probably a way more expensive option but her mom is very tech savvy so I am sure it gets used.

Do you mean a radio pager that is answered by an agent who speaks to the patient and calls for help if needed? It’s highly unlikely any such company as you describe exists.

Is she going on excursions alone? Is she rooming alone? Before my mother was completely lost, I got her her own room in Boston, but she ended up at the front desk because she couldn’t figure out how to call me on the room phone!

Are your expectations for her objectively reasonable? How about an adjoining room and a baby monitor? (My mother currently has 24-hr HHA’s. I’m not making this stuff up.)
