Can someone explain the Sunday activities for the Jubilee? The royal website states it’s at Buckingham Palace in the afternoon. What will happen. What are the best viewing spots?
Sounds like the Jubilee Pageant will be a huge parade of school kids, community groups etc. down The Mall and some kind of a show in the street front of the Palace. It begins at 2.30 and ends about 6.00 pm. The website is amazingly lacking in detail. But be assured The Mall and surrounding parks will be jam packed. For this once in a lifetime event people are known to camp out overnight! The Trooping the Colour on Thursday is worth trying to see…the Royal Family travel from the Palace to Whitehall parade ground accompanied by military bands, troops, horses etc. very colourful. Again the best place to watch is on the Mall and again it will be super crowded.
Hey folks, I've removed several posts here, so let's try again with this thread. This thread is not about masking or Covid despite obvious implications with crowds. Stay on topic, please.
There will be street parties on Sunday. Trooping of the Color is on Saturday.
