We're looking at spending a couple of nights in the Cotswolds in late September. We don't plan to rent a car, but rely on public transportation and taxis to get to the Cotswolds. What is the best way to get to the area? Train to Bath/Oxford/Stratford?
We're probably going to try to stay in Chipping Campden.

You can take a bus to Reading (under 1 hour), then train to Moreton-in--Marsh (about 1 hour), then www.johnsonscoaches.com (not on Sundays) to Chipping Campden. The same bus line also connects to/from Stratford-upon-Avon, but that's a longer train or bus ride from Heathrow and usually requires extra connections.
