Public transport from the Harry Potter studio tour

Oops, I've left booking our Harry Potter studio tickets a bit late, and all that's left are entrances at 4 pm or later. Just wondering if I booked this on a Sunday late afternoon if we'd have particular challenges with public transportation back to our rental flat in Pimlico in the evening? Would a Friday or Saturday evening be preferable, for ease of connections and speed of travel? Family of five with teenagers. Edited to add: we're travelling in mid July.

The bus from the studios returns to Watford Junction Station as long as the studios is open.

The last train from Watford Junction to Euston is at 35 past midnight - long after the studio closes. The previous one is at one minute before midnight. There are several every hour before that.

The Underground runs in central London up to around 1 in the morning except on weekends it runs all night.

There are night buses on many lines all night.

Sunday will have fewer trains but still doable unless there is engineering works, which happens on some weekend nights.

I've had tickets late in the day, perhaps 4 or 4.30 can't quite remember but we arrived with lots of time to spare. Even after we had had some food and browsed the gift shop we were still there at the start time of the preceding tour but they said it was ok to join the line anyway. It all seems a bit chaotic at the start without much clear direction about when to get in line but once you're in it's a great experience.
