Later this summer my husband and I will be spending one night at Heathrow upon our arrival in England (long day of travel before arrival made us decide to rest up before getting our rental car and heading out the next day). Any suggestions for a good pub not too far away from the airport by taxi? We are familiar with the options for getting into London from the airport, but don't want to spend the time or expense to go in just for one meal. Thanks!

Last year we stayed at the Premier Inn on Bath Road near T5. A short walk away is the village of Hammondsworth where we found a couple of very nice pubs which were handy for lunch and a pint.
The walk is pleasant, ie away from traffic, and there's a large green space nearby if you fancy a more ambitious walk in a pretty setting.
As I recall the taxi from the terminal to the PI was about 12 pounds, fyi.
