Problem creating account at National Rail site

I'll be traveling to England/Scotland in October, and will be using the trains. I want to create an account, to save itineraries, ticket costs, etc. Also, I want to purchase Senior Rail Cards to get 1/3 discounts, as we've done in the past. But, when I try to create an account, with my name, email address, and a password, the message says I will get an activation code. But, the code never seems to arrive.

Any ideas why? In the past, I had no problem creating an account as a "foreigner", or buying tickets on line. Thanks.

Have you checked your "junk mail" folder in case the replies are going in there?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have tried my junkmail: nothing there. Interesting, there is a separate site for "Senior Travel Cards", which did allow me to create an account, so I will go ahead and purchase the Senior Card through that site.

Frustrating, since I once had an account, but can't remember my password. When I try to create an account using my original email address, I get a message advising that the email address is already in use. And when I try to create an account with a new email address and password, I get the message that an activation code is being sent. But, no code ever arrives. Maybe they don't work weekends.

I may just need to phone them, since we do speak the same language, sort of...

Isn't there an "I forgot my password" link ?
I usually have to resort to those when I forget my umpteenth different password.

I don't think you can buy a Senior Railcard online if you do not have a UK address. But no worries, you can still buy tickets with the senior discount applied (select that option in the ticket purchase opening screen). It won't ask for the pass number. Just be sure to buy the Railcard when you get to the UK.
