Private driver/guide for Stonehenge/area from Southampton post-cruise.

Hi all, my son, mother, sister, & I will be getting back from a 12 night Baltic cruise and will have already had days in London pre-cruise. We fly out from Heathrow the day after the cruise, so are staying at the Premiere Hotel near Heathrow. My question is, where can I find a good, reasonable guide to pick us up at port around 9:00 a.m., drive us to Stonehenge, show us some of surrounding (Southampton?) area (or vice versa), then drop us off at the Premiere. We will also have luggage. We could probably do the cruise tour thing, but I think I’ll be tired of being herded around by that point. Cruise Critic.com has changed it’s format (I think they got rid of tour guide reviews, because I couldn’t find anything there), and I am at a loss. Help much appreciated!

Yes, I saw one from London, for a full day. Quite expensive, 600+ pounds, I believe. From what I saw, nothing from Southampton that I saw, but I was really frustrated by that time.

"Quite expensive, 600+ pounds, I believe."

What you are asking for will work out expensive, even from Southampton (if you can find someone to do it).

The average one way price for a private taxi to Heathrow airport from Southampton is around £80 which is a journey of around 1hr 15 minutes. You're asking for a driver to ferry you and your luggage around for the day and provide a guide service for four people, £600 is not expensive, I'd be surprised if you could find someone to do it cheaper. Heck, for £600 I'd do it!
