We just spent 2 nights at Premier Inn London County Hall (9/13-15/2026). As most may know, this is a budget hotel, and is exactly as-advertised. Self-check-in kiosks are in the lobby with one small single-staff desk. Check-in is at 3, but they will take and tag your bags in a luggage room if you arrive early. Everyone was very friendly and helpful but note that this is NOT a full service hotel - no concierge, no large lobby, etc. Not much "atmosphere" - it reminded me somewhat of a Pod Hotel in NYC, but with bigger rooms lol
There are two short sets of stairs (4-5 steps each) to get in the front - no ramp. I believe there is a more accessible entrance, but you need to use the call button to have staff direct you - which I think is at the top of the first set of steps (I could be wrong about that though, so worth checking if that is a concern).
Room was fairly spacious, clean, quiet. We (husband and I) had a standard double room; bed had the now-typical duvet cover, which are always so hot, but we were able to get a top sheet with no fuss. Room had a very narrow desk, chair, and a kettle; a lighted "vanity" with mirror, hair dryer and a bench was in the room instead of bathroom. Plenty of outlets (UK) and some very slow-charge USB ports. Open closet had maybe 6 hangers, one drawer, plus a sack with extra pillows. Bathroom was a little annoying with a heavy door that closed automatically - no way to keep it open (we propped it with the trash can). Tub was a bit hazardous - very deep, so nice for baths, but the high sides and no anti-skid tub bottom required considerable care. Our rate included a "continental breakfast" which was an extensive all-you-can-eat and included a basic hot buffet. There is a bar, and they may have dinner service? But we did not check any of that out. We paid about $200/night and that included the breakfast.
The location cannot be beat for touring the major sites. The hotel is located right behind County Hall (London Dungeon, Shrek experience, Aquarium), so it is one block off the Thames. Easy walk to the London Eye, Westminster Bridge, Waterloo Station and much more. Logistically, note that there is a gate across Belvedere Rd there, so any cabs generally need to be picked up at Chicheley St, which is less than half a block away. The hotel has a call button to summon Black Cabs, although it was not working when we were there. There is a Starbucks across the street, as well as a convenience store and an Italian restaurant.
Would definitely stay again if the rate was right!
