Premier Inn Family Rooms

Has anyone ever stayed in a Premier Inn family room in London? If yes, I'm wondering what the configuration is. Thanks.

We didn't stay at a PI in London. But, we did in many other parts of the UK, along with TraveLodge.

Me, 5'2"; husband, 6'5"; and son, 6'2". Our PI family rooms had either two queen beds or a queen and a single twin. I let my guys have the big bed and I was fine on the twin bed. PI were all clean, plentiful and very helpful with making reservations for upcoming stays elsewhere (we do not have smart phones!). They were also very nice about giving us rooms away from families traveling with multiple small children, keeping things wuiet for us.

Yes, these types of lodgings lack the charm of B&Bs or coaching inns. But, we would have had to spend lots more on lodgings and less on days/wonderful dining experiences/etc had we insisted on "charm!" All we wanted was clean, safe and quiet. PI offered all this. Affordable was a bonus!

Thank you. I agree with your comments on the Premier Inn hotels - we've stayed in them a lot. They do not have the character but they are clean and spacious. We are thinking of taking our grandson so were wondering about a family room so it's helpful for me to know what they are like. Thanks.

We stayed in one in York - there were two extra twin beds and I slept in one of them. They were fine -it was a little crowded in the room though.... if it was more than a couple nights I would consider renting an apartment from vrbo.

I was looking at this chain for our trip to England next fall but we are 3 adults and I can never find a room that takes 3 adults.
