The Premier Inn chain, which has a lot of reasonably priced hotels throughout the United Kingdom, has tweaked its rate offerings, generally making reservations easier to adjust. In the past I have always opted for the more expensive Flex rate; in the future there may be times when I feel comfortable opting for the Semi-Flex rate or even the Advance rate. Details are here:
Looks like a reasonable straightforward program that will provide customers peace of mind and let the hotel manage its inventory in an efficient manner.
I suspect many more people are going to shy away from the 'all or nothing' approach of non-refundable rates for a considerable time going forward.
Be nice if this became a model for those lodgings that had draconian policies in the past.
Thanks for the info
It looks perfect. I assume they got tired of sob stories with the absolute no changes rates. I’ll definitely continue to use them next time I’m in the U.K.
Thanks for the rate info. I too often stay at a Premier Inn in London on the flex rate. Good to have another refundable option with the semi flex especially.
