Premier Inn Booking

Hello,

If you have booked with Premier Inn in the past, did you notice rates being better if you wait until closer to your chosen date? I am looking at booking for a single night in Edinburgh, and saw a rate in March for 93 pounds vs September for 175 pounds. We will be there at the end of September, and I am wondering if I should wait to book. I've booked all of our other lodgings, and wondered if this is common with Premier Inn.

Generally, they get more expensive the closer to the date you get because they price depending upon demand. September is therefore a busier month for them, so they raise the price accordingly. They are still one of the best deals around price/value.

The weather in Scotland is much better in Sept than in March, so more tourists. Also, there could be a festival in the area, altho the fringe ends in August.
Safe travels!

Keep in mind that Premier Inn has different price levels, depending on whether booking can be canceled or not. I just booked something in early January for a standard room in late May that is not cancelable and it was only €59 night. This was for the Premier Inn on York.

I think the price can fluctuate either way, but also popular dates can sell out. So really you just have decide if the price is one that you’re willing to pay compared to what else is available.
