Pre-theatre Dinner - London County Hall?

We are seeing Witness for the Prosecution at London County Hall at 730pm

I’m interested in making dinner reservations for 3 of us ahead of the show. We are looking for somewhere with good food, but not a super fancy or super expensive restaurant.

Where should we eat? Suggestions?

There are loads of great places to eat on Lower Marsh Street, behind Waterloo. I would check it out on Google maps/trip advisor and you can find the type of cuisine you like. Several good options also on The Cut. And very close to county hall, you have one of my favourites, Mamushka, which is Polish and very much not fancy or expensive.

I'm going to agree and say the Polish place Mamuska! is rather good. I've been to Ping Pong (meh) and Flat Iron Waterloo (pretty good if you like steak).

If you want more options, Convent Garden area is just across the river.

I agree lots of nice places to eat around Waterloo on the Cut etc.
Also have a look at the restaurants around the Royal Festival Hall. They tend to be chain restaurants but of a better kind, if that makes sense? The terraces around the Festival Hall have good views onto the river and if you can time it right you might see a 'Waterloo Sunset'.

And be sure to let the staff know you're off to the theater, two guys next to me at Chucky Cheese ... excuse me, ye olde Chesire Cheese, nearly had heart attacks trying to eat, pay and leave for a show
