Pre & Post theater dining?

We will be in London for 10 days in May and have tickets to 3 shows. I'd love restaurant recommendations for restaurants near these 3 theaters: Fortune Theater/Operation Mincemeat, Wyndham's Theater/Inter Alia, and Soho Place theater /The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. We have 1 matinee and 2 evening performances so lunch and dinner recommendations would be so helpful! (bonus points if there are gluten free options at the restaurants as hubby has celiac disease). Thanks!

If you enjoy Indian food, Dishoom offers limited reservations for tables before 6Ish.

The Convent Garden location is less than 5 minutes walk to Wyndham's and about a 10 minute walk to the Fortune. The Carnaby location is about a 10 minute walk to the Soho Theatre.

You'd have to check the menus re gluten free and discuss with your waiter.

Brassiere Zedel’s, C and R Cafe, and The Dog and Duck pub. Each a different option.

If you like Spanish/Italian tapas and small plates and wine, the Opera Tavern on Catherine St is nice.

We have evening tickets to see Operation Mincemeat at the Fortune theatre.
We are doing the pre-theatre dinner at the sarastro. It's walking distance to the Fortune theatre.
Check out the restaurant and interior. Worth seeing.

I second Derek’s recommendation. Sarastro. We were there post show time. It was amazing. Inspired by the show they saw, or they were actual actors, a few people broke into song!

I'll be in London next week seeing All My Sons at the Wyndham Theatre with a London friend who suggested the three course pre-theatre menu at 45 Jermyn Street.

I saw Operation Mincemeat last year and loved it. I hope you do, too.

Grier - I saw All My Sons the week of Christmas and enjoyed it. Go to the stage door after the performance and get a picture with Bryan Cranston.

In June I had dinner at The Ivy before seeing My Master Builder. The shepherds pie was amazing, so was the sticky toffee pudding. I had a wonderful Christmas lunch at Brown's Brasserie in Covent Garden based on a recommendation from a forum member. Both restaurants are close to the theater. I would definitely make reservations where ever you choose.

Happy travels!
