One of my travellers received a few of those pre-paid cards as gifts, and wants to use them while in England.
Are these accepted in England?
I had one bad credit card experience years ago while in Cornwall, and don't want to repeat.
TIA

Do they run on an international payment system, ie Amex/MC/Visa?
If so they will possibly be accepted but check terms of the specific card, not least for forex & other usage fees.
I agree with Marco, look at the T and C of the card. Even if they are Visa or MC logo cards, it is very possible that they may not work, or work, but with significant fees. They may also need a PIN in order to use.
You do have to check the terms of the specific card. Some are specifically not allowed to be used abroad, to prevent money laundering and such. Others are, but with very high fees for EVERYTHING (checking a balance, reloading the card, using the card at an ATM, using the card for a purchase, etc).
