We’re going to be flying back to the U.S. from Gloucester. is there anywhere in the area, say Oxford, where anyone has been successful in getting a rapid PCR test with results inside the crazy 24 hour window requirement?

It also is an antigen test not PCR.

I don't know of an airport in Gloucester. There is a very small airport at Staverton near Cheltenham (known as Staverton Airport as long as I can remember, now known as Gloucestershire Airport) but I don't know of any commercial flights from there. Where are you be flying from?
