Port Isaac parking

I just booked a room for several nights at the Port Gaverne Hotel in Port Isaac. There seems to be a dispute if it's an easy or very difficult walk to the City Centre and parking seems unsure at the hotel. Is there usually parking at the City Center on the first of October part of October or is that still a busy season?

Port Isaac is not a city - it is a village. The Port Gavern Hotel is at the bottom of a valley that leads to a small inlet from the sea. The main part of Port Isaac (Dr.Martin) is the next inlet to the south west. If you click the minus sign on the map that appears, you will then see it. I would suggest you ask the hotel about the parking situation. I can definitely see 5 free parking spaces overlooking the beach right by the hotel. Looks like parking near this hotel is limited. (It was built long before cars were invented). Mixed reviews on Tripadvisor about this hotel.

You can easily see what the place is like by clicking the following link. Click and drag the yellow man and drop on the street by the hotel to get a street view.https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Port+Gaverne+Hotel/@50.5927065,-4.8244759,754m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x486b9d9d805eaff3:0x66adc06fbc0cad9f!8m2!3d50.5927065!4d-4.8222819!5m1!1e1

Port Isaac village is only about 2500 feet long and slightly narrower across! Port Gaverne is a sort of offshoot around a bend. Walking in would be a few minutes but parking by the hotel seems limited. Early October shouldn't be busy, schools are in class,

We walked over to Port Gaverne from Port Isaac as it was recommended as a place for my husband to swim. It was not a difficult walk at all, although it is mostly along the road. We passed a large carpark on the way, and this might be a good place to put your car if there is no room by the hotel.

I would not try to drive down into the "city center" of Port Isaac---parking there is very limited (unless it is low tide) and the roads are very confusing. Walking in Port Isaac is a pleasure---there are some pedestrian passageways that are fun to explore.
