Please recommend a hotel at or near Heathrow

Hello. We'll be flying into Heathrow on June 18 in the afternoon. It's unlikely that we taxi into the city; will be wiped out. Fly out the following day at noon.

Would you please recommend an airport hotel that's reasonable in terms of price but is still clean and comfy. I could use an expedited response as I have to leave the US tomorrow and am scrambling to make last-minute revisions to an itinerary that came apart in part on the even of my trip. Thank you!!!

Edit: I don't know what terminals I'm flying into or out of yet. Flying into Heathrow from Munich. Flying out of Heathrow to Miami. Would prefer to stay closer to the hotel, and being within walking distance would be ideal. But willing to take a taxi or Uber to a nearby hotel if necessary to save money.

Hilton Garden Inn terminal 3 is often very popular. You can take the tube for free between terminals so it is easy to get to/from if you end up at terminal 5.

The Sofitel at Heathrow is a great option; however, it may not be what you'd consider reasonable.

AA's website says we'll be flying out of Terminal 3. Google's AI Overview says that I'll arrive at Terminal 2. I hope that makes it easier for you to make a recommendation.

In that case the Hilton Garden Inn makes sense- it's walkable to T3 in 10-15 minutes and it's only a 5 min walk from T2

The Hilton Garden Inn at Termianl 2 & 3 (that's the name) is connected to Terminal 2 and is a 5-7 minute walk, underground, to Terminal 3. (There are even moving sidewalks like you see in many airport terminals.)

I've stayed there numerous times and done the walk between terminals. In fact, I'll be there, again, next week.

If it's just for an overnight stay before a flight, I'd focus on places with a reliable airport shuttle rather than being the absolute closest. I've found that a stress-free morning transfer is usually worth more than saving a few extra minutes on distance.

We stayed at Hilton Garden Inn last year. It was fine. And they have a rooftop bar we enjoyed.

Not quite as convenient, but probably a lot cheaper, are the hotels along Bath Rd
north of LHR on either side of the access road into the airport. Can be reached
via public bus or Hotel Hoppa bus. There's a pub (Three Magpies) close by as well.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express at Heathrow next to Terminal 4, and there was absolutely no stress at all getting to the airport in the morning. It was so convenient. It was about a 5-minute walk to get there from a covered inside walkway, and was one of the easiest transfers I've ever made between a hotel and an airport.

I also didn't find it expensive. I don't know about the Hilton Garden Inn at LHR, although I've stayed there at other airports and found them very reasonably priced, but I know the Holiday Inn Express by Terminal 4 was a whole lot cheaper than the London hotels. I think I paid around £98 for the night. In short, I find the convenience of being right next to the airport is worth a few extra pounds.

The hotels in the terminals are most convenient, but more expensive. From Terminal 2, we stayed at Ibis Styles Heathrow, just outside the access road on Bath Road, about 5 minutes by taxi, and also 5 minutes by bus. Very convenient and comfortable, and there is a nice pub nearby, the Three Magpies.

Thank you for the suggestions. I cannot afford The Hilton Garden Inn at Terminal 2 & 3. It's almost $400 a night on our travel dates.

We went with Premier Inn Heathrow Airport Terminal 4, which was $120 a night including taxes.

A user recommended Holiday Inn Express at Heathrow next to Terminal 4. From what I can see on a map, these hotels are near each other, but Premier Inn is significantly cheaper--it's like half the cost.

So, unless someone has really strong feelings about it, I'm inclined to go with Premier Inn. It's refundable in case there's a need to change for whatever reason.

All we need is a clean room, a decent restaurant, and a reasonable trip to and from our terminals.

We're flying into T2 and flying out of T3. Flight in is on Lufthansa and flight out is on American Airlines.

Any advice you could provide regarding how to navigate to and from our terminals would be appreciated. We are not averse to walking. Thanks again!

I think the Premier Inn is a great choice, having stayed there last autumn for the price point as well as the ease of the covered walkway. Pleasantly surprised to find food and a coffee bar in the lobby. Clean quiet room.

the only thought I have about the Premier Inn T4 is that it is right at the end of the covered walkway (more really an above ground tunnel) which links the T4 hotels with the edge of T4 departure check in area.

You will likely have plenty of time to find your way on the afternoon arrival to measure travel time between the T2/3 train station (closer to T2 than T3) to the Premier Inn T4, but you will have to need to leave enough time in the morning to get the Elizabeth Line train (free but you need a free ticket) between T4 and T2/3 and getting the lift (elevator) up and down from train level to departure level, and then the Premier Inn T4 is right at the very end of the tunnel, having crossed 2 roads in the tunnel.

The tunnel first passes the entrance to the Hilton T4, then the building jointly hosting the Crowne Plaza T4 and Holiday Inn Express T4 (Mardee and others have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, I have frequently stayed at my fav, the Crowne Plaza there) and then it is a fair bit further to the Premier Inn T4. These are all large hotels, and they are not near each other (except the two IHG hotels in the one building).

Not to dissuade you, just to ensure that you leave plenty of time so you can be in place for 9am check in at T3. Kids won't be able to dawdle over their brekkie.
