Hello again!
We depart for London on Tuesday, October 7. We have reservations for the first 3 nights. We now need additional lodging in either the Bloomsbury or King's Cross neighborhoods. Any suggestions appreciated!

What’s your budget per night (in GBP or USD)?
Premier Inn Kings Cross would be my choice; inexpensive for London but clean and comfy beds.
Forget Bloomsbury area unless you are willing to pay twice or three times as much per night as you would at the Kings Cross Premier Inn.
In London I always stay in Kings Cross, at a B&B, very nice and super convenient.
The best of the 6 or 7 B&Bs I've used is "The Alhambra Hotel" on Argyle street. ...always pleasant, more that satisfactory,

Bloomsbury's much more pleasant than Kings Cross though. Might be worth it.
I certainly agree there, GerryM.
I don't have any experience of it myself, but I've seen other contributors here recommend The Celtic Hotel, near Russell Square. It looks like a nice antidote to the corporate blandness of Premier Inn.

Additionally, the PI St Pancras is just a block or so away, across from the British Library. 2 pubs, pizza, 2 coffee shops, and an Afghani restaurant on the same block. Bus stops onboth sides of the street.
I’ve stayed at the St Pancras Premier Inn. I’ve also stayed at the Bloomsbury Holiday Inn by Russell Square using points. Both were fine.
I’ve also stayed at the Kings Cross Premier Inn Hub. It was a last minute one night reservation following a train cancellation. Room was small as is typical for Hub rooms. Shower had poor water pressure.
