Four 70ish women are doing a three week driving trip through England next May. I would like recommendations for places to sleep in Brighton and Cornwall (Penzance or St. Ives). We want someplace nice and clean but nothing fancy as we will will only be sleeping, not spending any time at the facility. Thank you

Look up the Premier Inn chain www.premierinn.com. See what they have in your preferred locations.
They are reliable, with helpful staff.

I was set to stay at the Premier Inn in Penzance before Covid derailed travel plans in 2020. It was a new hotel at that time that had repurposed an historic building and was well situated. I have stayed in several Premier Inns and I think they will meet your requirements well.
