Piccadilly line to Heathrow this weekend

The Picadilly Line is closed between Hammersmith and Heathrow this Saturday and Sunday, all day.

Use replacement bus services or the Elizabeth Line.

Just keep in mind that oversize baggage might be a squeeze on the buses.

The coach driver will put oversized luggage under the coach in a large cargo hold, if it's the usual coach that goes between central London and Heathrow (and from Heathrow to London).
There's plenty of room in there.

I'm not sure it would be a coach. Most likely a regular double decker. You would hope that the bods who plan these things will have laid on capacity that accounts for luggage, this being a route to Heathrow. Probably best on the Elizabeth Line if you can. Replacement bus services can be soul destroying. At least we know about this one in advance.

While you're dealing with the delays, you can get down to the sounds of DJ Replacement Bus Service. Yes, that is a real person, and quite popular on the club scene.

In London, unlike almost anywhere else in the Country, rail replacements are run with double decker buses- either red buses or ones leased in for the job from Ensign Buses.

Having read the e-mail more carefully as well as the normal rail replacement buses (route PL3) running express to Hammersmith in 18 minutes (so faster than the tube line is normally) there are also all tube stops buses running to Gunnersbury (route PL7) every 6 to 8 minutes- journey time 40 minutes.

PL3 seems to be generally run by coaches rather than buses but I guess there is no guarantee. There is a YouTube video of a ride on one in the previous closure, leased from New Punjab Coaches.
