Picadilly Line Strike

I arrive back in London the evening of 11 July just as the drivers strike is supposed to start. Has any word been given on what, if any, plans the TFL has as a replacement. If it helps, I'm going to Earl's Court.

I'm asking specifically if any alternatives have been announced NOT generally how to get from Heathrow into town.

Normally for strikes there are no alternatives provided by TfL. You could

taxi to your hotel
or
minicab to your hotel
or
TfL rail or whatever they are calling what used to be known as Heathrow Connect - the slower of the two trains - to Ealing Broadway then District Line to Earls Court
or
Heathrow Express to Paddington then District Line to Earls Court

or a variety of bus combinations.

Any of the above would be easier probably than any possible rail replacement bus even if it were provided.

Bon Chance as the Germans say.....

Thanks....I guess my best alternative is Heathrow Connect or whatever it is called now to Paddington and the tube to Earl's Court. Paddington instead of Ealing Broadway is probably faster.

Fingers crossed the strike is postponed.

Emma, you've said you take the Piccadilly line so this strike must be making you nuts. As well as the disruption caused by the visit of "He who shall not be named."

Thank goodness...I'm 20 minutes from landing at Heathrow and my flight is nearly an hour late. I thought I might have to get alternate transport.
