Phoenix Hotel vs. Kensington Gardens?

We are traveling to London next June for 6 nights and have stayed at the Phoenix Hotel before but they have no big rooms with double beds available for our dates. Price at Phoenix: $1,080 includes breakfast. Price at Kensington: $834 with no breakfast.
Your thoughts?

How much of a breakfast person are you? I'm a coffee and pastry kind of person and would just kind of take the cheaper option, shrug, and grab something quick in the morning at the Costa not too far from the hotel. Serious breakfast people would probably have a different opinion.

Does the Kensington have the room available with what you need? I'd stay there - you can still have breakfast at the Phoenix, you'd just have to pay for it. Or have breakfast out a few mornings. It's the same ownership so if you know the neighborhood and feel comfortable there, go ahead and stay at the Kensington Gardens! (I've always stayed there and never at the Phoenix).
