Pasty baking lessons in England?

Does anyone know of any pasty lessons to take in England? I will be traveling England in December and would looooove to learn how to make a pasty. I've tried at home and the dough is just never right.

On the recent Rick Steves Villages of Southern England tour we did have a pasty-making lesson from Marion, owner of Portreath Bakery in Portreath, Cornwall. She also has a TV show called Made with Marion but not sure if you can stream that in the US. I'm not sure if she actually does classes for the general public or just does special things for various tour groups. The small bakery there was really busy and she's got other outlets other places. An amazing woman who has accomplished a lot thru drive and determination.

She was hilarious and gave a really good class. I was shocked at the dough and how flexible and stretchy it was. They had made the dough circles ahead of time for us and we just filled them for the class but we still had to pull them around the filling and do the crimp correctly.

She also gave us a recipe but I'm not sure I kept it. I'm vegan and the dough does contain lard so not sure what I did with it. I'll look and see what I can come up with.

Some options I found, I wasn't sure where in England you're traveling, but these might be options if you contact them and tell them your dates.
Have fun!

This mentions a pasty festival but doesn't specify dates this year,

and also gives a link to that other poster's mention of that Made with Marion show, says it can be viewed here.

And until December, this might help you. Recipe by the Great British Baking Show's Paul Hollywood.

There are plenty of You Tube videos. If yours aren’t turning out right, it maybe down to the flour you are using.

My wife just completed the five day “Patisserie” course at the Ashburton Cookery School in Devon. Pasty baking was just one of the subjects covered during the five days. My wife had a great time and the of us (5 adults) stuffed ourselves with her goodies each evening after class.
