Parking in Mevagissey

We'll be driving from Dartmoor to Mevagissey for a brief stop (and then on to Falmouth). It looks like there are a few car parks in Mevagissey- is one of them better to aim for if we're planning on arriving in the early afternoon? It will be a Sunday in August, should we expect massive crowds? Any tips for the Dartmoor-Mevagissey-Falmouth drive welcome, too. Thanks!

Mevagissey’s biggest car park is The Willow. Follow the main road from St. Austell into Mevagissey will be on the left as you enter the village. This is one the edge of Mevagissey.
Had a great meal in Harbour Tavern Pub!

I don't know where the recommended car park is, but I remember traffic moving extremely slowly through town. I'd definitely ditch the car on the outskirts. In terms of people, I didn't see anything appriaching massive crowds in August 2017, but there were certainly more people than seats for dinner. Dinner reservations are very often needed in Cornwall. I don't know about mid-day meals.

Thanks! And thanks for the tip about dinner reservations, I hadn't thought of that, but it makes a lot of sense!
