Could you recommend me parking application in England, We will have a car for one week, in some places (like Bath) we need parking for 3 days, In US I usually use “spotHero” and never have problems in any downtowns. I can pay for parking through this app too. Thanks
Unfortunately there is not one parking app that you can use everywhere, but a number. And even then you can still come across some car parks that need cash. Many will, however, have the options of paying by contactless card or cash.
It really depends on the car park and what app they use. For example in the city where I live, all the local council car parks use RingGo for paying. But some of the private ones use JustPark, PayByPhone, Apcoa etc.
I’m not familiar with the concept of SpotHero. I just have a bunch of the most common parking apps and use whichever is relevant to the car park or space in question.
Right. Well, currently I’ve got 4 parking apps on my phone. That will tell you that there is no universal here. Each local area chooses its own provider for publicly run car parks and on street paid parking. Privately run car parks might require a different app.
For Bath you need the MiPermit app for any parking run by the local council. Charlotte Street car park is a convenient long stay car park. It charges about £17 per 24 hours and you can use the MiPermit app for this. For free parking you would need to park on a residential street outside the centre and either walk or bus in. I’ll give you some advice on this is you want it.
Thank you very much.
Yes, Helen, I will appreciate your help. Thanks
