Park Plaza Westminster stay

We are ending a trip with three kids ages 10-12 in London for 3-4 night (Frankfurt-Paris-London). Has anyone stayed at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge? It claims to have a room large enough for all 5 of us and it's a little pricey, but it looks to be pretty much in the center of everything and I'm not finding much cheaper Airbnb's with a similar location. Do any of my trusted Rick Steves aficionados have experience with this place and think it'd be appropriate for a family with kids?

Best,
Matt

My brother used to stay at it on business trips. It is pricey and it is in a good location.

If price is equal than I advocate for an apartment for the purpose of having more space and a kitchen. The opportunity to eat a lite meal in the apartment, store some snacks in the fridge (cheese, fruits) and start the day with creating your own coffee/tea are additional benefits and potential money savers.

Location is good. Compare prices to see if two rooms at premier Inn County Hall or Premier Inn Waterloo (just blocks away) would come out at the same cost . Having two bathrooms might have advantages….

We stayed at the Park Plaza County Hall across the street in June 2024, so no direct experience but very similar property. The location was fantastic, the breakfast was good, and having a small fridge and sink outside the bathroom was nice for snacks and drinks. it was a little less expensive than Westminster, but we only needed room for 1 kid rather than 3 so we had options.

I also stayed at the Park Plaza County Hall in Sept 2022 and Oct 2024. I looked at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge prior to booking and it was more expensive. The location was perfect and the breakfast was excellent but we had to request housekeeping service on a daily basis . Also, the room was fairly small and while we were given amenities in 2022 , they stopped offering them by 2024. There were plenty of families with kids staying there both of the times that I did.
