Oyster card and Heathrow Airport

Can someone clarify something for me? It is my understanding that the Oyster card is NOT valid on the Heathrow express. But it seems to me that it should be valid on the regular Underground tube trains. Is this correct?

Correct.

Oyster cannot be used for the Heathrow Express but can be used for the London Underground, overground and busses.

You can find substantial savings for the Express if you book at least a month in advance.
