Oxford to Cardiff

We are going to do a driving trip of England in early Oct to mid Oct before meeting up with friends in Cardiff. We will spend 3 days in London and plan to take the train to Oxford to pick up a rental car. We will have 10 days to explore after leaving London. We want to see the Cotswold's, Hadrian's Wall, Chester, York, the Lakes District and Bath. We plan to stay in small B&B's and were thinking of spending 2 nights in the Cotswold's and the Lakes District. Any suggestions on firming up an itinerary are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your suggestions and information. Pamela

We are planning a 28 day drive tour of Wales and England. I don't know how you will do justice to all the places you want to see in 10 days.
We are planning on spending 3 nights in Bath, 2 in Cardiff, 2 more in Pembroke, 6 in the Cotswolds (we plan on visiting many small Cotswolds towns, Oxford, Blenheim, Stratford on Avon and Warwick Castle), the 3 nights in York, 3 in Durham/Hadrian's Wall, 2 or 3 in the Lake District (there is more). Cutting out the south Wales part, that amounts to about double the time you have allowed.

I have narrowed down some of my B and B choices and can provide you with some of that if you like.
