Oxford lunch spots

The Best of England tour now goes to Oxford instead of Blenheim Palace and I'm guessing we will be on our own for lunch. Do not know what part of Oxford we will be at, but suggestions of places to go for lunch would be appreciated.
Thanks for any ideas!

The Covered Market would be where I'd go. It's a complex with lots of cafes and shops. Just stroll through and choose what kind of food you want. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Covered_Market,_Oxford
It's on High Street between Cornmarket Street and Turl Street. The entrances are from the High Street and Market Street (with four entrances from each street).

Here's their website. Use this map of shops to check out what's there.

Click on the name of the cafe for a description of what type of food they serve.

We ate at Brothers Cafe; Greek and Mediterranean food. Excellent!
Space number 43 on this map.

EDIT: We also tried and liked several other places in the Covered Market. I've added a post below to describe those.

I was on this tour last year and several tour members including myself went to the market plaza and had quite a few selection of food from the vendors there. There were restaurants nearby the market. Also picked up some souvenirs.

Blenheim Palace was closed to tours due to an official function there.

There’s lots of places for lunch in Oxford and the centre of town is compact so you’ll be near most of them. My personal favourite place, a pub, is the Turf Tavern off Holywell Street

I can also recommend Pieminister at the Covered Market. Yummy gourmet pies with mash and gravy.

Brown's Cafe serves British classics with a Portuguese twist. They've been in this Covered Market since 1924. Family-owned and run. Fantastic brunches, delicious pastries, coffees and teas.

Sartorelli’s Pizza is excellent.

A Taste Of China--fantastic Chinese dishes; stir-fry, plus noodles and dumplings.

Sushi Bowl--sushi of course.

Moo-Moo's is a family owned milkshake shop. They also serve smoothies and gelato.

Be sure to stop by Ben's Cookies for truly wonderful fresh-baked cookies!!

Thank you every one for your suggestions. Turf Tavern looks interesting and the Covered Market looks like it has lots of options.

I am curious lajohnson if you could give me an idea where the tour walk went in Oxford. If we finish lunch before we need to meet up again and there was time so we don't walk through the same area we will go through on tour. Last year in France we finished lunch took a walk around Beaune and then ended up taking the exact same walk with the tour.

I'm glad to see Moo-Moo's mentioned.

Not so much for lunch but for after lunch.

Don't eat too much lunch before one of their spectacular milk shakes
