Do you have recommendation for hotels/inns in Oxford?
Well, I'm staying at the Courtyard by Marriott Oxford City Centre because I have a free night certificate, but it had been recommended to me by a frequent poster here to try the Oxford Malmaison, which is a prison turned hotel. It's not cheap but definitely would be interesting!
That said, it would help to know what your hotel budget is. :-)
I stayed 3 nights at this delightful B&B in Nov. 2022.

The Old Parsonage Hotel is wonderful and within walking distance to the city centre: https://www.oldparsonagehotel.co.uk/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=local&utm_campaign=hotel-oldparsonage
Hi, my husband & I stayed one night in Oxford. We flew into Heathrow, took the airport bus (pre-purchase the ticket) to Oxford and stayed at the Malmaison Oxford Hotel as Mardee mentioned. Yes, it’s a former prison and was very interesting inside! The decor is very cute, maximizing on the prison theme, and we enjoyed our dinner and breakfast there. It’s also very handy to walk to the main sites.
The next day, we picked up our rental car and headed to the Cotswolds.
We enjoyed our stay at the Old Parsonage in July 2023. Fantastic location that was so close to the city center and on the bus line to Blenheim Palace.
Old Parsonage Hotel, Old Bank Hotel and The Randolph. All three lovely, have restaurants and centrally located.
