Going to be in London for a night in June. Looking for a recommendation for a B&B around $150 Canadian. So many places online to choose from. Ricks pic for the Aster House is too pricy. Would like to be close to Buckingham Palace.
I've stayed at the Lime Tree and it was reasonable and not to far from the Palace and is close to Victoria Station.
At current exchange rate, CAN$150 is £85. I'm not sure you'd get a B&B in the SW1 area for that cheap a price (or anywhere in Zone 1 that's not in a Youth Hostel location) ...you may have to venture further afield. Can you provide links to places you've found for that price in the area?
London is expensive. Unless the Lime Tree is available you will be very hard pressed to find a place in that price near the Palace.
Have you looked via booking.com, and Airbnb.
I always stay at the Jesmond Dene Hotel - actually a small family run place with breakfast available (at a cost).
- it has singles, doubles, triples, and a quad room.
book with them directly - much cheaper than the hotel/booking sites.
( but do look at tripadvisor, hotels.com and others to see if they are offering any deals.)

Hub by premier inn has two locations walking distance from Buckingham Palace: Hub Westminster and Hub Westminster Abbey. Some nights in June are less than GBP 100, other nights more; advance purchase (nonflex) is always cheapest. Caution: Hub is a very specific type of lodging so do look at the website to make sure it meets your needs. I've happily stayed at both.
