Does this card preclude you from high traffic times ( morning rush, say 7:30-9:30 am) or only in the sense that it will deduct more money? The reason I ask, is we would like to take the 10:00am, or so Eurostar from st. Pancras to Paris and this would be on the Wednesday, after arriving on the Sunday am before. I guess I would like to have a ball park figure of money to put on the card. And yes, I know I can turn if back for refund. Thanks

I think I understand your post. 20 pounds should be fine for your Oyster Card even with your trip to the train station to take the Eurostar. And I think you meant can't instead of can regarding the Pre Paid Oyster.

The Oyster fares are higher if you travel before 0930, and this applies to both the individual fares and the daily cap.
