Thanks, Estimated Prophet! I've always loved miniatures and built and furnished a dollhouse for my granddaughter a few years ago, I was so excited to see Queen Mary's Dollhouse when I was at Windsor back in 1996. It truly is a gem. Real wine in the bottles (and good wine) with electricity and running water. Real jewels in the crown and so on. Just gorgeous!

The only issue I had was that you could not get close enough to see the detail. It was a shame because I would have stayed and explored it for hours. The article mentions, however, that some items are being placed on display (this year only) so that you can see more detail. I had not planned on visiting Windsor during my March trip, but am now rethinking it. It would be worth it to see some of those pieces "up close and personal." Thanks!

The dollhouse is indeed a marvel and one of my favorite memories from our trip to Windsor Castle many moons ago. Thanks for posting the arcticle.
