Notting Hill

You could have a look at booking.com and tripadvisor.
They have lots of reviews for hotels, apartments and B and B's.
(And you'll get availability, which this forum can't give you!)

Google Maps will show hotels in a certain area. Type in a main intersection in Notting Hill and hit Nearby; lots of hotels will show up. This will not supply recommendations, but links to the hotels' websites are provided.
Notting Hill covers a fair area and wide range of economic situations, from posh to just-getting-by. As ever, easy access to a Tube station is a plus.
I stay just to the south, in Kensington, which is more consistently expensive but with a big selection of major attractions (Royal Albert Hall, science and natural science museums, Victoria and Albert museum, etc. It's easily reach from Notting Hill by Tube or bus.
